Donkey Training

         We offer a variety of training options to accommodate nearly all donkey owners regardless of their location. Alyssa has trained them all: wild and domestic, young and old, bold and timid, jacks and jennies, minis, standards, and mammoths.  Whether your donkey needs help with socialization, haltering, trailer loading, lifting feet for the farrier, etc., we can help. Alyssa uses positive reinforcement training to build trust with donkeys, which is the foundation to successful training and building strong bonds with donkeys.

 

Training Options

Training at your facility:  Alyssa is happy to come to you, location allowing.  This is ideal for donkey owners that live within a 45-minute drive of Queen Creek, Arizona.  Sessions are approximately 1-hour and are customized based on your donkey’s abilities and your goals. 

​

Virtual donkey training:  If you have access to a cellular network or wi-fi, and a cell-phone or computer, then you can be anywhere in the world and get hands-on training. 

 

​Board and train:  We’ll train and care for your donkey at our property for 1 – 2 months where they will receive daily training and exposure to other donkeys and people.  Ideal for donkeys needing more socialization and immersive training.  Consider it a boot camp for donkeys.
